Letter: Elderly exemption

Published: 12-05-2023 6:00 AM

In reference to Sunday’s article (Monitor, 12/3) on increased property taxes, please be aware that it is a state law that communities offer elderly exemptions to qualified taxpayers. Concord’s limits are quite generous, and give seniors peace of mind against financial ruin.

Call your assessor’s office for the details. Good luck to all! It’s your right, after years of paying taxes in full. No one should be taxed out of their home.
