Finishing your senior season as a champion is something that student athletes dream of. Aiden Boule experienced that this past week - twice. After leading Bishop Brady to a Division III team title on Thursday, Boule earned his second title of the week by claiming the D-III individual championship on Saturday at Brady’s home course, Beaver Meadow in Concord.

Boule entered Saturday’s final round in a tie at the top of the leaderboard with Owen Wilkinson of Stevens. Both golfers carded a 9-over par in Thursday’s first round at Rochester Country Club, three strokes ahead of Bishop Brady freshman Chase Connor and Derryfield’s Mitch Grunbeck.

Eighteen holes later, Boule once again found himself in a tie, this time with Lebanon senior Ben Britton. Britton was tied for seventh at 15-over, six strokes behind Boule after the first round, but had the best round on Saturday, carding a 9-over. Boule shot a 15-over at Beaver Meadow, giving both competitors a two-round total of 24-over. Boule won the playoff hole to claim the title, becoming Brady’s first individual champion since Nick Grimbilas in 2018.

“I’m so happy for Aiden’s dream ending,” Bishop Brady head coach Jason Bird said. “Aiden is so competitive with himself. He is at his happiest when playing like he has been.”

Wilkinson shot a 16-over in the second round to finish at 25-over, one stroke behind Boule and Britton to finish third. Grunbeck (26-over) and Coe-Brown senior Alex Myslinski (29-over) finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Connor (33-over) and Brady teammate, sophomore Luke Bedard (35-over), finished seventh and ninth, while John Stark sophomore Landon Duclos (35-over) came in 10th.

Brady earned some more hardware on Saturday when sophomore Mady Savary finished runner-up in the girls’ individual state championship.

Dover senior Carys Fennessy shot a 3-under on Oct. 5 at Campbell’s Scottish Highlands, four strokes ahead of Savary. Fennessy shot a 5-under at Beaver Meadow and Savary carded a 2-under, giving Fennessy a two-day total of 8-under to win the title.
