Welcome to another year of The Cappies, our annual effort to capture your voice on the tastiest food, the best businesses and the places to turn when you need something fixed – now. We can tell by the number of people who take the time to cast their votes that they enjoy the annual survey, and we’re confident they’ll pore through this issue. This year, we had nearly 80,000 votes cast for more than 400 local businesses.

Truth be told, we love the Cappies, too, because it’s our chance to pull together all types of local companies, services and merchants, from those focused on the 55-and-older community to those who can give your kitchen a makeover. As a local media company that works with more than 600 local businesses each year, we understand as well as anyone what a healthy, vibrant local economy means to our region.
