Concord Police investigating vehicle versus pedestrian accident in downtown

A woman was transported to Concord Hospital with serious injuries Friday morning after a collision involving a gray pickup truck near the intersection of School Street and Green Street downtown, according to Concord Police.

The accident, just outside the police station and near City Hall, happened around 7:05 a.m., police said.

A gray Toyota Tacoma remained at the intersection into late morning with its rear wheels stopped on the crosswalk. The driver was not transported to the hospital. 

Sections of Green Street and School Street remained closed Friday morning as police investigated at the scene.
