UPDATE: Police identify deceased driver in Salisbury crash

Authorities have identified the driver of a Chevrolet pickup truck who died in a single-vehicle crash in Salisbury early Monday morning as Brian L. Young, 63, of Andover. 

A 3:30 a.m. call reported to dispatch that a 2022 Silverado had crashed into a tree on North Road and the driver was unconscious, according to a press release from the New Hampshire State Police.

The Salisbury Fire Department and state police responded to the scene, as well as Penacook Rescue Squad. Arriving first, Salisbury firefighters determined that the driver had died.

Salisbury does not have its own police department and has relied on state law enforcement for the past decade.

North Road splits from Route 127 in Salisbury and runs through forest and farmland toward Andover.
