D-II Baseball

No. 6 Hanover 6, No. 3 Bow 5

Key players: Bow – Jake Reardon (3-for-4, 2 RBI, run), Dillan Abbate (2-for-3, RBI), Chase Crowell (1-for-3, 2 runs), Nate Kiah (4.1 IP, 3 R, 5 H, 1 K, 0 BB), Peyton Larrabee (2.2 IP, 3 R, 3 H, 3 K, 3 BB)

Highlights: The Bears took a 6-3 lead with three runs in the top of the sixth. Bow scored twice in the bottom of the sixth, but the comeback fell short and Hanover upset the Falcons on their home field in Sunday’s quarterfinal. Hanover will play No. 2 John Stark in Wednesday’s Division II semifinal at Memorial Field.

Records: Hanover 13-5; Bow 14-3

D-III Baseball

No. 3 Bishop Brady 4, No. 6 Campbell 3

Key players: Bishop Brady – Jack Speiss (5.1 IP, 3 K, 3 ER; hit, SB), Owen Thornton (WP, 1.2 IP, 2 K, 0 ER; hit, 2 walks, RBI), Winn Thomas (hit, 2 HBP, 3 runs, SB), Luke Bedard (2 hits, run, 2 walks)

Highlights: The Giants wrapped up their quarterfinal victory when Thornton drew a walk with the bases loaded for the walkoff in the bottom of the seventh. Brady scored single runs in the first, fourth and fifth innings to take a 3-0 lead, but Campbell scored three runs in the top of the sixth to tie the game. Speiss started on the mound and Thornton came in with one out in the sixth, and pitched out of two bases loaded jams in the sixth and seventh innings. The Giants will play No. 2 Conant on Wednesday in the semifinals.

Highlights: Underhill (two-run double), Bamford (two-run single) and Martinez (two-run double) all drove in runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to help Belmont secure its spot in the Division III semifinals. The Raiders will play No. 5 Monadnock (16-3) in Wednesday’s semifinal.

D-II Softball

Highlights: Coffin blasted a two-run homer over the centerfield fence in the ninth inning to for the walkoff. Coe-Brown will play No. 5 Merrimack Valley in Wednesday’s semifinal. Bow took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning thanks to five walks and three wild pitches, but the Bears scored single runs in the third and fourth innings to tie the game.

Records: Coe-Browon 15-2; Bow 11-7

No. 5 Merrimack Valley 3, No. 4 ConVal 2

Key players: MV – Caydence Allberg (7 IP; 1-for-4, run), Kayla Smith (1-for-4, 2 RBI), Jordan Monaghan (1-for-3, run), Nora Lyford (1-for-2), Molly Hahn (1-for-3, run), Katelyn Herrmann (1-for-3), Ryleigh Perry (1-for-3)

Highlights: Trailing 2-1 in the top of the seventh, Smith hit a double off the outfield fence, bringing some Monaghan and Allberg to give MV a 3-2 lead, and Gabi Jones made a great catch at the outfield fence to help lock up the quarterfinal victory. MV will play No. 1 Coe-Brown in Wednesday’s semifinal.

Highlights: The Falcons led with 10 seconds remaining in the game, but the Cougars scored in the closing seconds of regulation to force overtime. Campbell found the back of the net to punch its ticket to the D-III semifinals.
