Highlights: Moser and Geddes went 1-2, topping the field of 30 runners at the Kingswood Invitational. Kingswood (four runners) and Inter-Lakes (three runners) were short of the five runners needed for a team score.

Merrimack Valley 4, Kingswood 1

Key players: MV – Kaiya Mercier (3 goals), Izzy Tucker (goal, assist), Lauren Bailey (assist), Taylor Gionet (14 saves), Zetta St. Onge (defense)

Highlights: Mercier opened up the scoring for the Pride about five minutes into Friday’s game, in the first quarter off a penalty corner straight shot from the top of the circle. Mercier scored again about seven minutes later off a pass from Tucker in the circle. Hanover scored with a minute left in the first quarter off a rebound. The Pride scored its final two goals in the second quarter and held the Bears scoreless in the second half. MV held a slight advantage in penalty corners, 5-4, while Hanover held the advantage in shots on goal, 15-11.
