State Police recover body from Merrimack River in Hooksett

New Hampshire State Police are seeking the public’s help after a body was recovered from the Merrimack River in Hooksett on Monday evening.

Troopers responded to the area at 6:14 p.m. following a report of a deceased individual found in the river.

The person’s identity has not been released yet, as officials are waiting for the autopsy and to notify the family. 

Troopers were assisted at the scene by the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, Hooksett Police, and Hooksett Fire Rescue.
