A Concord man was arrested by city police on Monday night on a warrant stemming from an August incident during which he allegedly was in possession of a stolen handgun, methamphetamine, and fentanyl, and tried to hide them from police, according to authorities.

Jeremy Ducharme, 42, is being charged with receiving stolen property: stolen firearm, felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, felonious use of a firearm, falsifying physical evidence, and two counts of possession of a controlled drug, all felony charges, related to the Aug. 15 incident, police said in a press release.

When attempting to arrest him on Monday around 10:15 p.m., Ducharme allegedly tried to flee on foot, but police were able to apprehend him. He was subsequently charged with falsifying physical evidence, and possession of a controlled drug, both felony charges; and resisting arrest or detention, a misdemeanor, according to police.

Ducharme was processed without incident, police said. He refused services from the bail commissioner and was brought to Merrimack County House of Corrections in Boscawen. He was scheduled to appear in Concord District Court on Tuesday for arraignment, authorities said.
