Highlights:  The Pride kept it close early, trailing just 7-0 until the Bobcats ran in a touchdown with 15 seconds left in the first half to double their lead and took over in the second half.

Key players: Kearsarge – Jack Circoria (TD reception), Aidan Ruckman (2-point conversion), Colin Croto (TD pass)

Highlights: With starting quarterback Parker Goin out with an injury, Croto came in and connected on a touchdown pass to Cicoria and tossed a two-point conversion to Ruckman.

Highlights: LePage scored her first career goal on a corner with an assist from Phillips. The Spartans played a great first half and led 1-0 at the break, but Portsmouth tied it with 31 seconds left in the third quarter on a penalty stroke.

Boys’ Soccer

Key players: Coe-Brown – Max Heigis (midfield and center back), Ryan Kouchoukos (midfield and center back)

Highlights: The Bobcats scored in the last 30 seconds of the match to spoil the Bears’ homecoming match. Heigis and Kouchoukos both had to fill in at center back due to injuries suffered by teammates.

Coach’s quote: “No one wants to lose to your rival. No one wants to lose on your homecoming. But the way our boys played tonight in not only limiting their opponent’s chances and generating some of their own, they should be proud and energized by what they are capable of down the road. Key players: MV – Carysn Perkins (goal), Eli Wormald (goal), Trevor Simonds (shutout)

Highlights: An own goal by the Sachems gave MV an early lead and that 1-0 score held until Wormald connected on a strike from 35 yards out that curved into the side of the net with 15 minutes left in the match. Perkins was able to tally his second goal on the season with about eight minutes left to play and Simonds held Laconia off the board to earn his third shutout of the season.

Coach’s quote: “We came out flat tonight and didn’t play very well as a team. We struggled to connect passes and play our game. I was glad to see the boys battle through it and get the win. Trevor Simonds in goal and our defensive line has been a huge strength for us this season. Our midfielders and strikers are starting to come together, but they will have a tough match up next Tuesday against ConVal.” – MV’s Ken Fuller

Key players: Hopkinton – Fin Murphy (goal), Owen Wuellenweber (assist), Colby Boissy (shutout); Raymond – Noah Brisson (11 saves) 

Highlights:  It took 90 minutes of soccer, but the Hawks finally put the game-winner in the back of the net when Murphy headed home a corner kick in the final minute of the first overtime.

Coach’s quote:  “A very frustrating 80 minutes of regulation and 10 minutes of overtime. … Raymond played strong defense all night, but never produced a shot on goal. At the other end, the Hawks launched a barrage on, and around, the Raymond goal, but just could not find the back of the net. Abram Standefer played a particularly solid game at left back, as he pushed up the field on numerous occasions, including putting a header off the crossbar. The midfield combo of Wuellenweber and Murphy began to really take over the game as time wore on and created many shots, both for themselves or teammates.” – Hopkinton’s Scott Zipke

Key players: H-D – Kathryn Thyng (2 goals), Callia Card (goal)

Highlights: Thyng put the Hillcats on the board early with a quick goal, and also scored her team’s third goal off a corner kick, but shorthanded H-D only had nine players and Sanborn scored a late goal to claim the win.

Girls’ Volleyball

Franklin 3, Sunapee 1

Key players: Franklin – Scarlett Martin (17 digs, defense), Olivia Sylvester (10-for-11 kill attempts, 2 kills, 12-for-15 serving, 2 aces), Ava Kolacz (9-for-9 service, 2 aces)

Highlights: The Tornadoes won a tightly-contested match, 23-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-20.
