Highlights: McCoy’s QB keeper and Sarkis had a pick six in the first quarter and led the Tornadoes to a commanding 37-0 lead at halftime in their home opener.

Highlights:  Lano and the Bears defended their home course in their homecoming race.

Girls’ Cross Country

Key players: Coe-Brown – Paige Murdough (3rd, 22:37), Anna Bergeron (6th, 23:26), Madison Taylor (7th, 23:28), Kassidy Taylor (10th, 24:38), Meredith Kerivan (13th, 24:41); Souhegan – Samantha Swanbon (1st, 21:40)

Highlights: The Sabers took four of the top five places to win a four-team meet at Coe-Brown’s homecoming race in Northwood. St. Thomas did not have enough runners for a team score.

Girls’ Soccer

Highlights: Wallen scored on a shot from the right side of the penalty box to give Bow an early lead 2:30 into the game. Lebanon scored shortly after to make it 1-1 at halftime and took a 2-1 lead 12 minutes after the break. Van Dyke scored on a put back inside the near post to tie the game with 18 minutes left in regulation in Friday’s game.

Coach’s quote: “We started off great scoring 2:30 into the game, but gave up a game tying goal shortly after. We continued to carry the play, but that goal gave Lebanon confidence and they played well heading into the second half. Bow girls continued to possess and pressure Lebanon, finally tying with 18 minutes to go. We created more chances the rest of the game and into overtime, but just could not find the winning goal. Certainly no lack of effort from the girls.” – Bow’s Jay Vogt
