Highlights: Milford led 8-7 at halftime, but Lover connected with McCabe for their second touchdown of the game and Schumacher ripped an 89 yard touchdown run in the third quarter to give the Falcons a 20-8 lead. The Spartans moved the ball well, but Dolder connected on field goals from 34 and 37 yards in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach.

Highlights:  The Bears put up the most points they’ve scored all season in a victory over the Redhawks.

Key players: Franklin – Zeke McCoy (just under 100 passing yards, 40 rushing yards, TD run)

Highlights:  The Tornadoes found the endzone against the Hilltoppers, the first team this season to do so, but defending champions Somersworth came away with a decisive victory.

Highlights: The Generals opened the scoring in the first quarter, but the Clippers tied it up early in the second. John Stark scored two more goals to end the half up 3-1. Guevin tallied a highlight-reel goal on a reverse chip in the third and Fredette completed her hat trick with her fourth-quarter tally.

Highlights: Newfound took a 2-0 lead, but Rose scored before halftime to make it 2-1 and scored again to tie the game with 3:39 left in the third quarter. Gilpatrick scored the game-winning goal with 1:03 left in the third quarter and the Giants couldn’t capitalize on any of their scoring opportunities in the fourth.

Highlights: The Hawks led 2-0 at halftime, but exploded offensively in the second half, going up 7-0 before the Hillcats got on the board in the 78th minute.

Cody’s first goal was a confident finish from mid-distance while his second goal was pure class, as he weaved through, and over, multiple defenders before calmly knocking home the goal. Wuellenweber also continued his quality play, as he scored directly from both a free kick and a corner kick. Highlights: Loto opened a fast-paced first half with a goal on the assist from Prusia in the ninth minute. John Stark answered with a goal in the 13th minute to tie the game, but Lapierre scored just three minutes later to give Coe-Brown the lead at 2-1 before John Stark tied it up in the 33rd minute. Both the Bears and Generals had chances to score the go-ahead goal, with strong attempts on goal from both teams being turned aside by the goalkeepers and crossbars.

The Concord region definitely has the best girls’ soccer in D-II not named Hollis-Brookline. Highlights: Brown scored her four goals in the first 13 minutes of the match. The Hawks’ homecoming game dedicated to junior defender Abi Hotten-Somers’ father, Sam, who passed away unexpectedly last spring.

Highlights The Bears defeated the Generals, 23-25, 25-14, 25-23, 25-21, in a rematch of last year’s Division II semifinal.

Coach’s quote: “After a shaky first set, partially due to some tenacious defense on the other side of the net, we settled down and started to be more mindful and strategic in our play. The game was filled with exciting long rallies and we knew coming in we would need to stay patient. When we started to settle in and do just that good things happened.
