Bow High School students conduct water quality tests on Squam Lake

Last month, Bow High School’s AP Bio class took a field trip to the Squam Lakes Association so they could conduct some experiments on the lake. This class joins every year for the Lake Ecology Program, because the SLA helps to create a unique “in the field experience” for students that directly connects to a unit on water quality.

Students collect data that is the jumping off point to designing their own experiments about factors that affect dissolved oxygen in aquatic environments.
