A Henniker woman charged with theft and insurance fraud could face prison time if she’s found guilty. 

In July, a grand jury returned indictments charging Bridget Watson, 48, with theft and two felony counts of Medicaid fraud, according to the Attorney General’s Office. 

The indictment alleges that between June 2020 and April 2023, Watson received $1,500 from the New Hampshire Medicaid Program by submitting false records, documentation and reimbursement paperwork for costs and expenses associated with Medicaid-covered services. 

If found guilty, Watson could face up to 15 years in prison on theft by deception and up to 7 years in prison for both Medicaid fraud charges and would be required to pay a fine of $4,000 per charge. 

Watson will be arraigned in Merrimack County Superior Court on Sept. 8.
