Sanbornton Old Home Day starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday July 15 in Library Field (Meetinghouse Hill Road). Enjoy breakfast items and coffee offered by the Sanbornton Historical Society while you check out the many vendors and activities. The parade lines up at 10:30 for 11:00 kick off. In addition to the Wildlife Encounters Ecology & Wellness Center live animal demonstration and the pony rides, there will also be a silent auction at the T-Shirt booth for a customer chainsaw carved bear bench by our own 3B Creative Carvings by Elise Ford, a smoked BBQ lunch and dinner by Robert Charter. The Sanbornton Library will have a model train exhibit as well as story time for the little ones. Live music will be provided by the New Horizon’s Band as well as Moulton’s Band and you can listen to the majestic organ in the Sanbornton Congregational Church. If you’ve never toured the Lane Tavern, here’s your chance! Tours of the historic tavern will be given by the Sanbornton Historical Society at 520 Sanborn Road, just down the street from Library Field.

Manchester Take the Plunge to Support the ALS Association

The ALS Association is excited to announce its highly anticipated event, the Northern New England CEO Soak, aimed at raising awareness and funds for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Scheduled to take place at 12:00 p.m. on July 27, at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Help the CEO Soak grow and reach its goals by getting involved as individuals, corporations, and communities. Inspired by the Ice Bucket Challenge, the CEO Soak has become one of the premier corporate engagement opportunities and entertaining events for the ALS Association. The CEO Soak engages community leaders to get soaked once again for ALS while raising critical funds and awareness for The ALS Association’s mission. Laconia Christmas in July on The Mount Washington

For the first time, the Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction will host a Christmas in July event on The Mount Washington on Thursday, July 13 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. to raise funds for local children and families in need. Tickets cost $65 and include a three-hour cruise, buffet dinner, entertainment by DJ Nazzy, performances by Broadway North Dance Studio and The PowerChords, a cash bar and a complimentary wine tasting by Hermit Woods Winery and a local beer tasting by Hobbs Brewery. Santa and the Grinch will attend the sunset cruise, which will be broadcast live by Lakes 101.5 FM and 104.9 FM The Hawk. There will also be a silent auction and 50/50 raffle. All proceeds benefit the Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction.
