Letter: Why so high a price?

How has the estimate for building a new middle school skyrocketed to $175 million, when Nashua is currently building one for $130 million, including renovations to two other middle schools.

Jack Dunn’s comment about “fluid estimates” is a non-answer. We cannot afford this kind of price tag, and we need to think more about getting some competitive bidding on a project of this size.
