A 22-year-old Concord motorcyclist was killed in a fiery crash with a box truck at the intersection of Route 3A and Robinson Road on Tuesday morning, according to Bow police.

Carson Hardy was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:30 a.m. by the Hooksett Fire Department. The incident occurred in the southbound lane of Route 3A when his motorcycle collided with the passenger side of the box truck traveling north as it was making a left onto Robinson Road, Bow Police Chief Ken Miller said.

The box truck caught fire from the impact and the flames were swiftly extinguished by 6:45 a.m. by the Bow and Hooksett fire departments, which both responded to the scene, according to Bow Fire Chief Dennis Comeau.

Bryan Floyd, 65, a Bow resident who was driving the truck, escaped the crash unharmed and did not require medical attention. Authorities have stated that he is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

“The fire was put out within minutes. The cause of the accident is still under investigation,” Comeau said Tuesday evening.

The state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is working to determine a cause of death. Those results are pending.
