Girls’ Basketball

Bishop Brady 66, Plymouth 47

Key players: Bishop Brady – Payton Bryson (24 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals), Morgan Casey (13 points, 8 rebounds), Mia Wagner (10 points, 4 steals), Maia Dow (8 points), Claire Jackson (8 points, 8 rebounds)

Highlights:  The Giants came out hot in the first quarter with two 3-pointers from freshman Dow to open the game. The Giants took a 34-17 lead into the half and never looked back.

Coach’s quote:  “Our girls came out right from the opening whistle and set the tempo. We played our game and our pace and that got us the victory tonight. Casey was able to shut down their leading scorer and that helped us get stops on defense that led to good shots on offense.” – Bishop Brady’s Sal Alosa

Kearsarge 58, Winnisquam 44

Key players: Kearsarge – Tessa Marinello (28 points), Ociee Ilg (12 points on four 3s); Winnisquam – Lauren MacDonald (18 points), Caidyn Carter (12 points)

Highlights: Kearsarge went 12-for-16 from the free throw line and limited MacDonald’s scoring opportunities.

Highlights:  The game stayed within a couple scores throughout the entire game, but Concord Christian played well down the stretch and Franklin had a few untimely turnovers and missed opportunities late in the game.

Girls’ Hockey

Berlin-Gorham 1, Bishop Brady-Trinity-Londonderry 0

Key players: BG – Olivia O’Neil (34 saves); BLT – Kacey Yorston (36 saves)

Highlights:  Both teams saw outstanding play from their goaltenders, but a goal late in the first period was enough to give first place Berlin-Gorham the victory.
