Highlights: Fitzgerald needed 34 points entering Friday night’s home game to reach 1,000 and scored 35, including 14 in the opening quarter and 10 in the fourth.

Conant led 26-25 with only 2:45 left in the game, but Tremblay drove baseline for the Cougars and found a wide open Huff on the weak side perimeter who drilled a clutch 3-pointer. Kearsarge made enough plays defensively to hold off first place Conant, handing the Orioles their first loss of the season. The Cougars will be the No. 4 seed for next week’s D-III tournament.

Highlights: Chapin narrowly won the giant slalom, posting a combined time of 1:19.85 on her two runs, just ahead of Gilford’s McKenna Howard (1:19.97), and Guadagno won the slalom with a run of 39.5 seconds as the Hawks won an 11-team meet at Gunstock on Friday. Belmont’s Stevens posted a run of 40.57 in the slalom to finish second. Hopkinton (750 points), Gilford (708), Plymouth (700.5), Lebanon (653), St. Thomas (649.5), Belmont (645), Bishop Brady (623), Laconia (549), Newfound (502), John Stark (192) and Kearsarge (159) were the team scores.
